The following proposals include activities specifically adapted using audio description, sonification or descriptive sessions, as well as other activities that can be followed with the accompanying explanations.
Medieval Village

All day. Tracing the light, capturing the moment
The exhibition brings together photographs taken in preparation for the eclipse and children’s drawings inspired by the phenomenon. People who need support to explore the images can use the Be My Eyes app.

An exploration of eclipses in literature and culture through myths, legends, historical accounts, science fiction and other stories that have tried to explain or imagine these phenomena.

-. Sounding Balloon Mission: heading for the stratosphere
Presentation of the project involving six students studying for the Spanish Baccalaureate, who will launch a stratospheric platform during the eclipse. The instruments and sensors travelling on board, the planned measurements and the technological challenges of maintaining communication with a probe located at an altitude of tens of kilometres will be explained.

A conversation about one of the main tools of astrophysics: the analysis of light. Spectroscopy makes it possible to determine the composition and other physical properties of objects ranging from the Sun to the most distant galaxies.
The Fair

-. Eclipse simulator, total immersion - Accessible activity
The cabin recreates the environmental experience of a total eclipse through different sensory stimuli. For blind and partially sighted visitors, headphones will be available so that the experience can be accompanied by sonification of the eclipse.

-. The cosmic dance between the Sun and the Moon during the eclipse - Accessible activity
A descriptive session in the inflatable dome explaining how a total eclipse occurs. The verbal explanation will reinforce the description of the movements and positions of the Sun, Earth and Moon represented during the projection.
Observation Area

-. Sonification and tracking of the eclipse - Accessible activity
During the eclipse, visitors will be able to convert changes in brightness into sound, allowing them to follow the eclipse’s progress by listening. Visitors can use the sonification device available on site, by requesting it in advance via eklipse@nicdo.es, or a sonification tool accessible from their mobile phone that allows them to listen to the progress of the eclipse.
