Bardenas Reales – Aguilares

The Aguilares Interpretation Centre is the information, education and orientation point to visit the Bardenas Reales. It offers educational resources, maps, routes and exhibitions on the fauna, flora and geology of the park. It is famous by its rock and desert formations. The Aguilares viewpoint offers a panoramic view of Bardenas Blancas and desert landscapes, which are perfect for pictures. 

All the viewpoints of the official network have a series of common services which include reserved car park areas, information booths, toilets, catering services, drinkable water available and medical service or ambulance. In addition, as elements of security, meeting places and covered spaces have been defined. Each viewpoint can also offer a series of cultural activities and science outreach that complement the offer for that special day. 

The Aguilares Information Centre locates its eclipse viewpoint on the edge of the Bardenas Reales Natural Park, next to the visitors’ centre. The area has drinkable water available, toilets, car parks and catering services, all of this surrounded by a truly unique natural environment, as well as with its habitual offer of exhibitions with dioramas, life-size replicas of birds, videos and recreations of the local ecosystem that teach visitors about the local flora and fauna, as well as the geology of the area. It also offers educational activities and teaching materials for schoolchildren, including notebooks and accessible resources in PDF, audio and easy-reading formats.

Additionally, it has a privileged and fully clear horizon. This feature of the landscape will become its main attraction, since it allows visitors to enjoy an exceptional panoramic view and appreciate the stunning shades of colour of the eclipse in all directions. The viewpoint will be open for access from 11:00 a.m.
