Cascante

Located between Bardenas Reales and the Moncayo Mountain Range, this old city is steeped in history and many peoples, such as Celtiberian and Romans have lived in it, leaving a rich and varied historic and archaeological heritage, which has been collected and studied in order to interpret the history of this town more accurately.

All the viewpoints of the official network have a series of common services which include reserved car park areas, information booths, toilets, catering services, drinkable water available and medical service or ambulance. In addition, as elements of security, meeting places and covered spaces have been defined. Each viewpoint can also offer a series of cultural activities and science outreach that complement the offer for that special day. 

Cascante has set aside an area of the leisure and spa centre as the perfect place to view the eclipse and has prepared an extensive programme of fun, sport and cultural activities throughout the day. From the viewpoint, you can access the outdoor swimming-pools, spa and thermal baths, with the payment of reduced fees and subject to availability. The viewpoint will be open for access from 9:00 a.m., and activities will take place after the eclipse.  Next to the complex is a camper van park and picnic areas, and a court wall, where additional activities will be carried out.

This point is marked as accessible, since it meets the minimum conditions required in the area of accessibility, ensuring its safe and autonomous use by all people. The space includes, among other services, reserved car park spaces, wide enough step-free pedestrian routes, non-slip even paving, adequate slopes, as well as areas adapted with accessible toilets and spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility.

Cascante also has lifts to access the swimming-pool and qualified care staff.
