Eklipse 2026 | The day of the two nights in Navarre
What is the Eklipse Project?
The Government of Navarre, through the Department of University, Innovation and Digital Transformation, together with NICDO and Pamplona Planetarium, has designed the Eklipse Project. This project, which includes the scheduling of a wide range of activities throughout 2026, has three main goals: to position Navarre as one of the regions from which this astronomical phenomenon can be experienced in its entirety; to bring scientific knowledge closer to the public; and to ensure that this event can be enjoyed under the best possible health and mobility safety conditions.
The eclipse on 12 August will be visible in its entirety in 141 municipalities in Navarre.
Specifically, the Ribera region of Navarre is where the total eclipse will be visible for the longest time. In some of its localities, the phenomenon will be observable for a maximum of almost 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Network of
observation points
The network of associated points will gradually be expanded with those localities that join the EKLIPSE project. This network of associated points will provide everything necessary to observe this phenomenon safely.
Complementary activities
Complementary activities may take place at the official points, and these will gradually be listed on this website.
